 
   There is no single element in this room that most of us would buy  individually off the shelf - the tattered bathtub, the aging side table  and the antique mirror-and-cabinet set all look individually, well, less  than desireable to put it nicely. Morever, most of us would not leave  our interior walls in such an unfinished state.  What is remarkable is how when you see these elements juxtaposed,  recombined in a single setting, they gain a new kind of appeal -  reminding us of a grandparent's house, perhaps, that never existed or of  where our ancestors might have lived comfortable little lives.
